ASSESSMENT OF CONVEYOR BELT MONITORING SYSTEMS IN MINING



The questions concerning monitoring of conveyer belts for conditions of mining industry are considered in the article. For this purpose, the analysis of the main scientific publications devoted to the studied problem is made. The key design and operational parameters of conveyer belt monitoring systems from the leading global manufacturers are discussed. Specific features of conveyer belt monitoring systems from various manufacturers as well as characteristics of measured values and their control facilities are described. All parameters subject to measurement in the assessment and selection of monitoring systems for steel cord and textile conveyor belts are substantiated.
